This project developed ESOL(English for Speakers of Other Languages) literacy resources that can be shared throughout Ireland. Spirasi, an organisation that supports victims of torture, upgraded the ESOL website. Tutors can download these resources and use them to meet the literacy needs of vulnerable migrants.
This project took place in the Spirasi offices in Dublin, in collaboration with web designers over Zoom. 150 downloadable resources are available so far. Visual and audio material, along with worksheets, are also available. This project is still ongoing and resources will be added over time.
City of Dublin Education and Training Board (CDETB) is developing a resource guide for ESOL learners. This guide will support their integration into Irish society with the help of online tools and apps.
